Happy New Year!

Just want to start off by saying Happy New Year to everyone. I know I’m a week late and all but better late then never I suppose. I can’t believe it’s 2019 already. So excited for what’s the come this year.

I already have my “Make Nine” for the year and I’m looking forward to getting started on that. I’ve never done a “Make Nine” before. I figured if I want to sew more and be held accountable then I need to set a schedule with specific items to work on.  A post and video on my picks will be coming soon.

When it comes to resolutions, I’ve been pretty good at sticking to them. I set them more as goals than anything. My goals for 2017 was to relocate and I did. I had more but those were more personal and don’t wish to speak on them here. My goals of 2018 was that I read more, film for youtube and post on the blog a bit more, get my business up and going, save some money.

  • When it came to reading, I struggled a bit and kept getting tired. I didn’t think anything of it at first. I then decided to get new glasses and oh boy what a difference. I was just blind and needed new eyes and then I’d be good.

  • I did get some filming done and a few posts up here on the blog, though I’ve removed some of them for personal reasons.

  • My business is a touch and go. Basically got it all together and ready but I haven’t gotten the marketing part down yet.

  • Saving money. Well there’s always this year.

So for 2019 I will have a slight list and will see how that goes.

  • Start a savings. This year is barely a week in and so far so good. Already set some aside and have no intentions on touch it.

  • Read “Wicked-Son of a Witch” and “Becoming-Michelle Obama” I have other books but those are the main ones.

  • Travel more this year. Not necessarily out of state but to get out and do more locally. There’s so many events that go on that I’d love to attend but never get the chance.

  • Get a car!

  • Get a dog! I’d really love to have a dog. I miss having one. I know someone that has a dog that could possibly be pregnant and so will see what happens.

  • Get a house. At least start looking for one by the end of this year.

My absolutely main goal for this year is my fitness goal. I’ve have a love hate relationship with my body and it’s been one heck of a journey thus far. I do pretty well with my eating and I’m on my feet constantly moving and doing things on a daily basis. I’ll drop weight and then hit that plateau and then give up. Not this time though. I will be starting back up at work soon and once I get my schedule then I can work my fitness routine into it. It’ll be easy because my gym is in walking distance from my job and so after work I could just go there.

I also plan on doing meal prep again and even take my lunch or snacks to work. I work in the food industry and I’ve always found it easy to just buy something. So whether it’s a full lunch or snack, I plan on taking it from home. I will also be saving some money that way too. For one week of eating at work I’m spending like $15-$20 on not so healthy foods and that’s with a discount. That may not seem like much but it definitely adds up when you’re wanting to save.

Well any who, that’s about all I have for right now. I wish everyone well and many blessings.

Untill next time, happy sewing!
