I had posted this a while back but not sure what happened to the post. Oh well, I’ll just do it again.
So some of the projects that I am attempting to get done this year are as follows.
I know some of these are basic but it’s items that I want to get done. I also have a few others in mind and set aside but those are just random things and smaller projects.
Simplicity 8255 - a really cute jump suit and I’m really excited to get started on. I’m not even sure on how it will look on me with my height but I thought I’d try it out anyway.
Simplicity D0846 - I really like view A and D although they are all cute. I picked this one in hopes of getting it done by September for my birthday.
Simplicity 8014 - This pattern has been around for some time now. I’m not going to lie, I’m intimidated by the buttons. I know how to set buttons if it’s like two but to have that many makes me nervous for some reason. Either way no closet is complete without a shirt dress.
Simplicity 8516 - This pattern as you can tell is from the fabulous and talented Mimi G. These jeans are so adorbs and it’s definitely out of my comfort zone. I know if I can complete these and make them fit, then I know I can sew just about anything.
Vouge V8772 - My plan for this pattern is to do view C or F. Not sure why I picked this one since how I’m not good with buttons. I think though I’ll end up doing F because I love 3/4” sleeves.
McCalls M6044 - I have been reading on how to alter your patterns. This one will be perfect for it. My boyfriend has really broad shoulders and so I’m thinking I may need to make some adjustments. Practice makes perfect and so thought I’d practice on a shirt for him. So with that being said, view A is the one I was going for in this man pattern.
McCalls M7061 - Although this is a pajama pattern, I’m sure with the right print and material this could be used for daily lounge wear too. My goal is to make all the items in this pattern.
McCalls M7261 - With this being a fitness patter, I thought it would be perfect. Being a fitness coach and working out as much as I do, I thought it would be great to add some workout clothes to my list. I have a few patterns that I drafted myself but for this I wanted to use a commercial pattern.
Well those are just a few of the items that I plan to make by the end of 2019. As I stated before I do have other items and projects that I’ll be working on but these are my main focus. A few other items that I’d like include but no rush to make are;
Dog sweater (for my Sophie)
A pant suit
So what projects or sewing plans are you working on this year? Let me know down in the comments.
