Recently Simplicity had their patters on sale for $0.99 and of course I had to head on out and grab some. Patters can range in price anywhere from $2.00 to $35.00. So yeah that’s a lot for a pattern and so when they are on sale I snatch up what I can on the ones I know I’ll eventually make.
At Hobby Lobby there was a sign that says only 10 per customer and they literally stick to that. If I’m one over then they tell me to put one back. So that is why I take peoples with me when I go, that way they can grab some for me too.
However at Joann’s it says the same thing but they don’t say anything. I’ve bought up to 30 patterns at once and they never said anything. Oh and I’ve done this at two different stores for both in different states and it’s the same, so just a heads up.
Since the hubster is wanting to sew, while at Joann’s we spotted this sewing machine. It’s the Singer Tradition 2277 and it was on sale for only $94 and I thought it would be a great beginner machine. Well any machine that allows you to back stitch, zig-zag and do a straight stitch is great for beginners. No need to have it all fancy when you don’t know what to do with it.
Do you sew? What current projects are you working on? What kind of machine do you use?
Let me know in the comments.
