Hey how’s it been? Pretty darn good here on my end. Well sorta good. How the heck am I going to eat healthier with this baby in my house. Talk about carbs overload! I got a bread maker for Christmas from my mother and Oma. Can we just say that I’m one happy chica right now!
I absolutely love to bake. I get that from my Oma because she’s definitely the baker in our family. I normally would make things in my own oven but since my oven decided to not want to function properly and cook things uneven, I opted for this pretty little thing.
It’s the Oster Expressbake Bread Maker from Bed, Bath & Beyond. It does everything for ya. I can cook and clean all at the same time. Lets see you do that haha. No seriously though, I can just toss in all the ingredients needed for whatever it is that I’m making, set it and then walk away. It will let me know when it’s done.
So far I have made regular white bread in it, some banana nut bread and some mixed berry jam. Yes you read it correctly, this puppy makes jam as well. I haven’t gotten around to making just regular dough or pasta yet, but best believe it’s on my list.
Here’s the jam that I made.
Doesn’t this look amazing?! You can use fresh fruit as well as frozen. All I had was a bag of frozen mixed berries to try out. Turned out so good. All I did was add the fruit, the pectin to thicken and a tablespoon of water. That’s it!
So that’s the run down of this machine. In the video provided you will see how easy it is to use while making some banana nut bread.
